I was honored to create a a visual story that would ultimately aid in communicating the heroic journey of Derrick Rose - Son of Chi. The original sketches and hand drawn elements (illustrations, typography and/ or personal ephemera) were utilized in key visuals and graphic executions across the global campaign.

To tell the story of the “The Son of Chi” in a compelling manner, I designed elements that would embody Derrick’s struggles and celebrate accomplishments that would resonate with his fans and consumers. The selected style was artful yet raw and unpolished, positioned to hero the main subject of the campaign (whether Derrick or the Shoe) at the center of the journey.
